Toronto Smalltalk User Group

We are an informal group of Smalltalk enthusiasts.

Our most recent meeting was our first post-covid Annual Patio Night...
Monday July 10, 6:00 pm at Pauper's Pub, 539 Bloor St. W. (east of Bathurst)

Next meeting is Monday, October 2, 2022

Dave Mason will present Zag Smalltalk, a new from the ground up, open, Smalltalk runtime, designed to utilize modern hardware including support for multiple cores and large memories. You can see the design documents at https://github.com/dvmason/Zag-Smalltalk It aims to be close enough to the opensmalltalk VM to be able to run Pharo, Cuis, and Squeak image code.

Meetings are on Mondays, first month of each quarter, at Toronto Metropolitan University room ENG288. There is no cost to join.

We use Meetup to schedule meetings.

At each meeting we have several code examples and questions, which lead to spirited discussions about the state of Smalltalk, and computer programming in general. Most of us then go out for a nice dinner and more conversation.

If you have a topic or question for the next meeting, post a message in Meetup and it will be added to the agenda.
